I've loved the few first class trip reports I've seen here in the past, so I thought I would share my experience with flying Lufthansa First Class from Beijing to Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago, as a part of a trip to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan during my easter break from uni.
At the airport in Beijing
I arrived a few hours before take off and headed to the first class check in counter. No one in front of me in the line, so it was a breeze. Was asked if I wanted a guide to get me to immigration and thought to myself "why the heck not", so a minute later my "assistant" showed up. He even took my carry-on while we walked there.

When we got to the immigration boot, we parted ways and I was let through quickly.
Then I headed to the Air China First Class Lounge, which was a major disappointment. Found some food that was below average (not worthy of an image).
I headed to the gate long before departure because I was looking so much forward to the flight.

When I boarded, the cabin attendant at the door greeted my last name and showed me to my seat. The first class cabin on this 747-8i consists of 8 seats and is located in the nose of the plane.

Soon after I was given an amenity kit, pajamas and slippers and shortly after that I was asked what I wanted as a pre-departure drink. Couldn't say no to a glass or two of Champagne.
After a few refills of champagne the plane was ready to depart and everything was cleared away. On this flight there was only me and another passenger in the first class cabin, so I basically had 4 seats to myself. The cabin attendant told me that when we were up in the air she would turn the seat behind me into a bed, so that I could sleep whenever I wanted.
At cruising altitude I got some more champagne, which was served with an amuse bouche.

I was told that I could eat whenever I wanted and I chose to have my meal right away.
I started with some kaviar.
Then I had a starter.
\"Chicken Breast and Foie gras terrine with winter truffle and anchovy mayonnaise.\"
And then the main course.
After this I was so full, so I passed on the dessert. Watched a bit of the most recent Mission Impossible movie, but it was so boring, so I fell asleep and slept for 4-5 hours.
When I woke up, the cabin attendants had put a blanket over me. This personal touch is really what separates first class from business class.
I ordered some apple juice and watched the airshow for a few hours, before I was asked if I wanted anything to eat. I ordered a steak sandwich.

After this I decided to check out the lavatory. Since we were only two people in the first class cabin and there is two first class lavatory, I basically had it all to myself. Decent size, but nothing too fancy.

Shortly after we started our decent into Frankfurt and after we landed I bid farewell to the lovely cabin attendants who had taken care of me and headed for the first class lounge.

As soon as I arrived I wanted to take a shower, so I was followed to the shower rooms.

After the shower I started with some fruit, before a dinner. Lufthansa First class lounge is known for their excellent wienerschnitzel so if you're ever passing through, make sure to order one.

There is an extensive bar in the lounge, which has a bartender who can make you anything you want.

After a few hours I headed to my connecting flight with Turkish Airlines in business class to Istanbul (where I continued to Bishkek). If you're connecting on a Lufthansa flight, you can get driven to the plane in a car. Did that a few years ago and it's nothing like being driven in a Porsche through Frankfurt Airport. But when you're only connecting on a Star Alliance partner you have to walk to the plane yourself, which was no problem, as the gate was 5 minutes away from the lounge.
Hope you enjoyed reading this, as much as I enjoy reading other trip reports and that you post your own in the future. This is definitely nothing that I do every day, so it was incredible to experience it again. I have a full trip report in Norwegian on a frequent flyer forum, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post personal links here, so if you're interested in more of my trip, please send me a PM.
