Hello fellow travelers!
Whilst I have been to Europe a few times, this would be my partner's first time there. And what better way than to soak in the Christmas spirit! Planning on a 2 week trip to Europe at the end of the year, still planning out itinerary and have some questions. The route would most likely be Amsterdam-Brussels-Bruges-Paris-London.
We will have 14 nights total, flying in on 24th December morning and out on the 8th of January. I'm planning on 2 nights each in Amsterdam/Brussels/Bruges, with more time in Paris and London. I'm thinking 4 nights in Paris/London each might be a little much so might plan for another city inbetween.
Now, my main concerns are 1) would the shops be open in Amsterdam on 24th/what is the general atmosphere like during Christmas and 2) would it make sense to purchase a 15 day Eurail pass. A 15 day Eurail pass will cost me almost 600 euros per person, while 4 separate train ticket between each city costs considerably less.
Thanks for any comments in advance!
