Heading to Italy and Austria in a couple weeks, what are some texts or books I can read to get myself ready?

Specifically Rome, Venice, Vienna, and Salzburg. I would like to read something to learn more about where I’m going to make my experience better. Or if you have stories/recommendations im all ears. Never been to Europe before but I’m going with my uncle who has been multiple times. Anything and everything is welcome.
