Africa

I've always had a penchant for Africa. The wild life, tribal culture, and hunting in particular. Not commercial hunting but tribal hunting. And I've always wanted to go there but never thought I would be able to. But I've joined the military and realized I will get out of the military with a large sum of money and zero personal ties to anything. Which means I can go and stay in Africa as long as I want to..

So not to be naive or cocky but I really don't want to live in Africa being a tourist, seeing all the wildlife from the top of a Humvee with 5 other people that paid $15,000 to ogling at a subdued hippo. Is it possible to immerse myself into Africa the way I'd like to? Again, not to be naive, but I'd kinda like to be like Jeremy wade without a camera crew.

Is that even possible or is that just fabricated TV and good connections?
