Is my layover long enough?

Hello,

I googled this but couldn’t find a definitive answer.

We are flying from Boston, MA to Milan with a stop at Heathrow in London. We found a flight we like via Expedia, but the layover is only 60 minutes. This can’t possibly be enough time, can it? (FWIW, both the flight from Boston to London and from London to Milan are the same airline- British Airways.)

Would Expedia sell us an itinerary knowing the layover is too short? It seems odd.

Any help would be appreciated here, thank you.

Edit: we are checking bags. Non negotiable.
