What’s a good coastal city to visit in Italy?

Planning a short Christmas vacation (like a weekend). I’m going for something that’s romantic, relatively easy to get to (maybe a train away from a bigger city?) and not too crowded. A smaller town would be awesome.

Any suggestions?
