Christmas in Paris or London?

Hi.

So I'll be traveling with my mother (basically figured I might as well before she gets too old) around the 22-23rd December until the 2nd of January, visiting London and Paris. So far the itinerary has been 22nd-27th in London, 27th-31th in Paris, then 31th to 2nd of January in London but I'm starting to wonder which would really be better, Paris or London for Christmas?

Any advice on cons and pros with each would be good. So far I know basically everything in London shuts down at Christmas day, but I've also seen something about Winter Wonderland which looks amazing *-* But at the same time eiffel tower lightning up with christmas colors would be nice to see.
