An interesting question: What has changed about travel in the past 10 years?

Hi,

In preparation for my Balkan trip I have planned, I have been typing in each city into this subreddit and scrolling through all the questions to learn as much as I can.

I get this weird feeling when I read posts from 6+ years ago. It makes me think "Wow all these years ago there was someone asking the exact same question I had in mind!".

If got me thinking. I'm a 21m University student from London, UK. So I haven't travelled much relative to other people.

How has travel changed over the past 10 years? Does anything stick out majorly?

Have any locations suddenly risen in popularity (Croatia I guess)? Have any locations died away a bit?
