Hey all! First post here. My wife and I have booked our flights for Mid December this year! Only a few weeks away but we are pretty spontaneous and those are the dates that work. We are landing in Munich and flying out of Vienna and will have a full 13 days to explore.
We are really wanting to explore Munich, part of the Bavarian alps (Berchtesgaden possibly), Prague, Vienna and possibly Budapest. We are thinking possibly 1 night in Berchtesgaden to avoid a long day with round trip trains and 1 or two nights in Budapest taking the train either straight from Prague-->Budapest-->Vienna or go from Prague-->Vienna-->Budapest-->Vienna to fly out of. Seems like the train from Prague to Budapest passes through Vienna..
We mainly are unsure how to fit in the alps and Budapest and how many days we should spend at each..Prague is a definite. I've also heard Salzburg is cool but not sure how to fit that in..
If I needed to choose between the Alps and Budapest, which would you recommend? Any other thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!
