We are looking to possibly rent a car in Mexico (Riviera Maya Caribbean side) to travel between Cancun, Cozumel, Akumal, Playa del Carmen and maybe Tulum.
I've heard bad things about the police wanting bribes and stopping tourists without reasonable cause. Is it best to just taxi between these locations instead?
