Hi, I am planning a grand trip beginning at May, from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney.
My very rough plan is Incheon ->Kuala Lumpur ->Singapore, Java, Bali, West Timor(by Ferries) ->Dili ->Darwin ->Uluru, Adelaide, Melourne and Sydney(by train if possible) ->back to Incheon
My questions are: 1. How long will this trip take roughly? Especially the ferry trip part all across Indonesia? Will the whole trip be possible within 2 months?
-
How well does English work in Indonesia and East Timor? And will my little Portuguese helpful in East Timor? Besides of them, I speak native Korean and middle-level Spanish.
-
Is it safe in Indonesia and East Timor? There is almost no information on them in Korean except for Java and Bali.
-
How do you exchange money crossing the border? Would it be good to have bunch of US dollars or is there a better way? This will be my first trip crossing country borderlines other than EU countries.
-
Is this a common route at all? I searched through the internet and rarely got information on Indonesian trans-isle ferries and Australian tour starting off from Darwin. If I can make a companion I would love to but I highly doubt it.
Thank you.
