Hi all! My partner and I are heading to Amsterdam soon for our first overseas trip. We have a stopover in Dubai/United Arab Emirates for 15hrs - I have a question in regards to medication.
I am prescribed Alprazolam (Xanax) for panic disorder/anxiety. I basically need this to have a comfortable flight to Amsterdam - what are the rules in UEA for scheduled drugs?
I have already seen my doctor, prescribed 10x 1mg Alprazolam - but never had an extra script or note given for the trip. Will I be okay with the box and my name on the label? With my prescribing doctor & dose on it. Is this risky? I was reading the UAE website and it says I need a approval from an embassy or some shit which is just a lot of hassle. Anyone have experience in this situation?
TL;DR: Have enough anxiety already and I’m worried about taking my prescription medication overseas. Does anyone have recent experience with this?
