What are things you should try while visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mexico? (Food, Drinks, your favorite café / restaurant)

I’m going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico tomorrow with my family! I’m very excited. If anyone has anything they would like to share, I would appreciate it.

I am also finally of legal drinking age here, I’m curious: Will I be carded? And will my US Drivers license work? If you have any drink recommendations, I’m all ears. Also if you have any favorite foods, I’d like to know!

Also, is it alright to go out at night? I know even if i dress conservatively, my brother and I will stick out as tourists (blonde hair, blue eyes). Should I leave my phone in my bedroom?

I’ve also been practicing my Spanish to order and say as many basic/common phrases as possible. Will people be bothered by my accent & sub-par Spanish? I would love to try to talk to people whenever possible.
