Hey Travelers! I'm looking to surprise my girlfriend with a three-week trip, including Iceland, Scotland, Norway, and Sweden.
I'm looking to go after Christmas next this year (2020) I've traveled before, but never completely 'on my own'. How can I prepare? I'll use Duolingo to learn the basics, but is English a common language in those areas? Besides Scotland, obviously. Are there any places we should visit in particular? This all began when I realized I wanted to see the aurora borealis, so the more Northern, the better! She has recently found that she really enjoys skiing as well, so areas with skiing or dogsledding are a plus. I'm looking to spend about 5 days in Iceland, 5-7 in Scotland, and the rest wherever y'all suggest!
Any and all advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated! I'd like to avoid doing it all through an agency, if possible.
Thank you all in advance!!
