How will the travel ban affect us? [Belarus->US]

I would like to preface this by saying that I know the countries on the list are not final, nor are the restrictions that they will face. I’m asking my question in the context of the previous travel ban in hopes of knowing what we should expect in the coming months.

My fiancée is Belarusian and, last August, was approved for a B2 visitors visa to the US, where I live and am a citizen. She came in November for my birthday and the holidays and left on December 1st. Her visa is valid a year from when she received it.

According to latest reports/rumors, Belarus is one of 7 countries slated to be added to the travel ban. I’ve visited the country 6 times and am bewildered why this could be, but I think I’ve understood we won’t be getting any concrete answers soon (although I’ve heard it’s because their passports are not biometric).

If the ban goes into place, judging by what happened with the previous countries, will her visa be automatically terminated? Will she be able to visit in the summer on this visa, providing she leaves in August? We currently have tickets for her to come in March and I’m terrified this will impact our plans for then.

Thank you very kindly in advance for your replies
