Hello,
I've never been to Japan but hope to go some day. I've heard a lot about Kanazawa, and it seems to be famous for its sense of culture, respect for the past, and design sensibility. These are all some of the things I'm very interested in in regards to Japanese culture.
However, since Kanazawa seems to be famous, I'm wondering if it's too touristy. Are there any other places in Japan that have a similar sense of culture, tradition, and design sense like Kanazawa, but are less well known?
