Flight compensation question

So I'm currently visiting Paris from Canada. I was supposed to fly out to Islamabad from paris through gulf air next week (layover in Manama for 2 hours). They informed me yesterday that the connecting flight from Manama to Islamabad has been cancelled and they've rebooked me on a flight 2 days later. No word on what I'm supposed to do for 2 days in Manama or whether they'll be getting me a hotel.

So I called them to clarify and the person said as of now there will be no compensation for hotel but I can make a complaint online and see what happens. They also offered to change my first flight to Manama to 2 days later so that I'm not spending 2 days there but I can stay in Paris an extra 2 days instead. Either way, I'm having to dish out 2 extra nigts at a hotel and 3 days with of meals that they are saying they are not providing for at this time. I think this is unacceptable. I booked an airbnb and will have to check out on my final date and find a different hotel regardless. They should have to pay me for that plus meals no?

Secondly, I wanted to ask if I am still entitled to the 600 euros of compensation for cancelled flight (from what I can read, I would be). Cam anyone clarify. I am not a eu resident, I'm a Canadian.
