Hey, there are 5 of us looking to book an apartment for a few days in Spain, the booking is asking for "Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in".
Not all of us have credit cards is one likely to be acceptable? Why do they need one in the first place, they have asked for a deposit separately so its not to charge to cover damage?
I can't find anything that really answers this question online, they only talk about hotel use or using a credit card to pay for the booking. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We do have debit cards but I know they are subject to fairly different regulations that might make them unsuitable for this use.
