How is Taiwan, Japan like now for travelers as well as expats/compatriots?

It appears it’s almost business as usual in Taiwan and schools are open, what about other activities and venues based on people living there. Taiwan does not appear to require any special procedures for North American travelers as of today. Should people from North America travel to Taiwan in the upcoming months. How about for returning Taiwan residents who currently live abroad in NA. I know for those coming from EU, China, and few other countries Taiwan would mandate a 14 day quarantine.

How about Japan? Apparently as with Taiwan, Japan doesn’t require any special procedures for North American travelers yet. Though They are banning travelers from certain areas such as China, Korea and may be quarantining travelers from some other countries. Though situation in Japan is more tense as there are more cases and more venues are closed including local schools. Most people wear masks in public even more so than in Taiwan. Though Japan overall seems to be up and running in general. Though what would be open.
