A few months ago my g/f and I quit our jobs, put all our stuff in storage, and we spent 2 months preparing for a multi year around-north-america and europe trip, then the world went crazy. We are looking for somewhere to chill for a while until everything returns to normal-ish. As we were already in Nevada we came down to Vegas as there's a bunch of state & national parks and stuff nearby, but all of those are closed.
So my question -- Anyone know of a good place to lay low that's not entirely shut down? Somewhere with some good hiking nearby, where not everything is closed? I'm fully aware that everyone is in the same boat here, but if we're going to be sheltered somewhere it might as well be somewhere where we can at least go hiking.
