I booked a return trip to Denmark from Australia about a month ago. It's set for May 10th. It cost me 2800 AUD. It took me a long time to save this money. Now with the Corona stuff happening, we've decided the best course of action is to cancel and wait for a better time. Kiwi will only give me 950 AUD, or make me wait 6 months for a mystery number.
I'm kind of having a panic attack over this. I have no idea what to do. I can't lose 2k for an assured refund, I can't wait 6 months to maybe lose even more, and I'm afraid of still taking the trip and having something happen mid way there. I've never travelled like this before, I'm already scared enough as it is, these flights not being a sure thing is seriously freaking me out and not having an out is making it worse.
What would you guys do? I've already tried the charge back option and my bank (Commonwealth) would only do this if they literally don't have my tickets booked, which they do.
