Me and my husband have been discussing traveling for like 2 months straight once things go back to normal. We’ve been saving for a down payment for a house but are considering using it for this instead. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and we definitely want to travel as much as possible before we settle down to have kids and have less flexibility. It scares me though because I’d pretty much have to quit my job and look for a new one when we get back (my husband can take an unpaid leave and return to work when we get back). There’s definitely a lot of uncertainty on my part as I’ve always been financially conservative and cautious.
I’d love to hear other people’s stories of long term travel and how you made it work, where you went, and if it was worth it. Tell me all the good and bad!
