Does anybody have any feedback for Exuma and Staniel Cay (Bahamas)? My Fiance and I were looking to go to George Town at the end of November, but we wanted to take a trip to Staniel Cay to see Pig Beach. It looks like out of the seven hotels on Staniel Cay, they all require a 3-night stay.
Does anyone know if it's worth it to stay 3 nights on Staniel Cay? I know it's incredibly small and I worry outside of seeing the pigs there won't be much to do. Would a day trip be better? A friend that recently went to Exuma said she could set us up to go swim with sharks on Compas Cay as well.
It seems as if it's cheaper to stay in Exuma and fly RT to Staniel Cay than it is to stay in Nassau and fly RT to Staniel Cay. We're looking to stay 5 nights total in the Bahamas and I guess I'm just not sure what to book at this point. I've been trying to research private pilots and boat rentals to get around some of the islands, but I'm not having much luck finding any specific prices. Also, is it worth it to stay in George Town? What is there to do there? We've never been to the Bahamas, so any feedback is welcome! Thanks!
If it matters any, we are both 30 yo American's flying out of Oregon and have already found RT tickets to Exuma for a great price.
