So my best friend and I have spent the last year saving money to travel the world. We are hoping to travel for at least one entire year, and we are currently sitting at about 30k in savings each. In terms of the best way to go about traveling to different areas in the world and also making our money last, are there any suggestions or helpful knowledge you guys could share? My biggest cost obstacle remains travel between continents. We want to see South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Also flights to island nations are tough as well. Travel seemingly becomes 100x cheaper when flights aren’t involved, but somehow people still manage to see multiple continents or island nations on a budget much smaller than ours. How do we do it?
