Could I travel to Manchester from Redditch on a train?

I understand travelling on public transport isn't a great idea right now but I'm having a rough time and would like to see a loved one I haven't seen in 3 months. Is this at all possible? Id have to take a train from Redditch to Birmingham and then on to Manchester
