I’m set to travel when I save enough money, I’ll be starting in Australia, moving onto new Zealand and Thailand, possibly Singapore (these aren’t in order) Eventually I’ll be backpacking across Eastern Europe. However, it feels like quite a few countries aren’t fond of the British, and I don’t want to make a bad impression, acting like an annoying tourist or only being able to speak this one language. So I’d just like some honest answers, is there any way to avoid being seen as some of the worst people on holiday? Do you hate people like me for not knowing any of your native language? I guess I just feel a little guilty on behalf of some of the UKs worst tourists, and I’d love to be able to blend in and learn about different cultures without having to worry about being judged harshly. And is there anyone out there who feels similar?
