My family and I are planning a European train vacation in about a year and a half. We are going from London to Paris, Munich, Belgrade, Sophia and then to Istanbul. On the way back we will go Istanbul to Bucharest, Transylvania, Budapest, Vienna and back to Munich, then up to Amsterdam and back to London. I am wanting to know some sites that are a must, along that route. Also foods that I have to try. I am a chef so I am very excited about the cuisine. I'm planning on actually staying in Paris, Munich, Istanbul, London, Transylvania, and Amsterdam. The others we will probably only pass through, just based on time. We are planning on about 3 weeks. Some places we are going to see will be mostly historical. Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, Bran Castle in Romania, Stonehenge. Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. We love historical sites, plus anything that deals with food. Our schedule is fairly flexible. But we are looking to spend a few days in each London, Paris, Munich, and Istanbul. Other than that, we are open to suggestions.
