British citizen try to get into the US

Hi everyone I’m a british citizen currently trying to get into the US my fiancé is a US citizen and I’m trying to get to her and to see one of her relatives that’s about to pass away any day now. I fear I don’t have enough info to get a exemption and have been led on by misinformation and fear it’s also too late I’m supposed to fly with delta I emailed the CBP after the embassy told me to contact them. All I got was the response it’s up to the border agent when I get there but I might not even be able to get on the flight. I’m trying everything I can at the moment to make this happen and if anyone has any advice or can help it would be deeply appreciated
