Flip the itinerary??

Hi all, American here planning a 3-4 month trip to Europe & N Africa (mindful of 90/180 rule) in Jan/feb - April/May 2022. It’s a ways off, but have the time now to think about where we’re going. We’re quite cognizant of travel fatigue and leaving room for spontaneity/issues, so we’ll probably end up cutting stops or doing whatever we have to - but for now we’d like to dream we make it everywhere haha.

My question is: do you guys think flipping the itinerary direction one way or the other will produce a significantly better trip, or is it arbitrary? I’ll list the pros and cons I can think of. Here’s the rough itinerary:

Morocco - Tunisia - Istanbul - Sofia - Romania - Serbia - Bosnia - Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb - Budapest - Bratislava - Vienna - Prague - Krakow, Auschwitz - Berlin - (Copenhagen) - Amsterdam - Belgium - London - Switzerland - Marseille - (Andorra) - Barcelona - Lisbon, Porto

The flipped itinerary would start in Tunisia, then Morocco, then Lisbon, etc.

original pros: our trip through southeastern Europe will be more rushed (save Croatia & Istanbul) with probably just 3ish days in places like Sofia. I think it might be easier to handle city-jumping earlier in the trip when we have more energy. Weather in the Atlantic region & Switzerland will be much nicer by April/May than in February.

flipped pros: Western Europe is far more expensive than southeastern, so visiting earlier means cheaper (?). Also, the Balkans already tend to be slower cities, so if we visited them closer to peak time then maybe they’d have more bustle and to do (and ppl in hostels). And, they’re already cheaper so peak prices wouldn’t be as bad. Perhaps it’d be easier to handle the Balkan city-jumping after getting a handle on Eurorail and such.

thanks for any opinions!! just dreaming and planning away whilst in quarantine.
