My girlfriend & I are planning on visiting Italy at the beginning of August. I’ve spent countless hours trying to find the so-called ‘perfect’ place to visit and can’t seem to settle on any particular destination.
We’d like to go for 5-7 days and primarily stay in one location (although we’d be open to day trips). As boring as it may sound to seasoned travellers, we’re mostly just looking to relax and having a (ideally sandy) beach near to us is a priority, as is going out for nice meals. Any opportunity for cultural excursions would be an added bonus but less of a priority.
Taormina is my favourite place I’ve stumbled upon thus far but I fear it’s slightly out of our price range. If anybody has any recommendations I’d be very thankful for them!
