Hi everyone, I'm going to Thailand for a month (starting this Friday) and I would like to hear what the Redditors have to say about what you think would be the best way to go about planning this trip. I'm a college student and it's going to be the first time in my life I'll be traveling alone. I'm planning to do all of the traveling by myself, so I'm wondering what things I should be looking out for when searching for a hostel/private place to stay, food to order when I'm there, or just anything else you think I should plan for.
I'm planning to be back in the US by September, so I need to go in and out of Bangkok, but I'm not sure of any specific things I should know before I go. I'm not a huge fan of the bus, but I really want to do something different. I've never been to Asia before, and I would like to experience a new culture. I have one friend who is considering going with me, but it's going to be a bit chaotic to have a group of people with me.
Thanks in advance for the help.
