Quick background:
Hubs and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in October. We are currently scheduled to cruise then but are pretty sure that it (Carnival) will be canceled. We have airline tickets from NC to Miami that we can always pay to rebook to another destination.
Our dilemma:
We have absolutely no backup plans or ideas on where to go.
Not including airfare, our budget for a hotel/house/resort/etc is max $3,000.
If YOU were going on a trip to celebrate your anniversary, where would you go? We have 10 days scheduled for our trip.
(preferably keeping it within the US since travel restrictions are in place for most countries)
We love the beach, history (historical sites, but don’t want that to be the main part of our trip), love to eat and try new things and people watch (lol). We’re pretty simple and laid back and like not having a set agenda. We like waking up and being able to “road trip” for the day in the area and find those hidden gems most people don’t come across.
We are not adventure seekers and don’t like huge crowds (amusement parks).
We used to live in the shadows of Washington, DC so going there would not be ideal. lol
We are really open to most anywhere, we’re both just drawing blanks on where to go.
