Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but it can't hurt! My best friend and I are doing a cross country trip next year. We are starting the planning now. In the process of looking at vans to convert ( will be pretty low maintenance...no shower or kitchen stuff. Prob just a bed and some cabinets). Will be doing a lot of hiking and camping, national parks and off the grid stiff.
Anyone with experience doing this, what are some essentials that you were glad you had, or wish you thought of before you went? Was there anything that you didn't think you would need but ended up totally needing?
