Road Trip Advice - Yellowstone/Grand Teton or Southern Utah?

My friends and I are doing a road trip from Salt Lake City on September 5 - 13. We are between 2 road trip options. Any input from people who have been to these parks or know the areas well is much appreciated!

Option A would be to go north into Wyoming. We would stop by to see Salt Lake and the Salt flats on the way up, spend most of our time in Grand Teton/Yellowstone, possibly hit Bear Lake and Mt Timpanogos on the way back to Salt Lake City.

Option B would be to do a loop of southern Utah - drive down to Fish Lake National Forest day one, hit Bryce Canyon on our way to Zion. After Zion hitting Lake Powell, Monument Park, and Moab/Arches before heading back up to Salt Lake City.

Considering timing (we have about 7 full days), weather, crowds, and any other factors that come to mind - what would you pick? We are all indecisive and noobs to these areas. Thanks!
