Anyone know what the situation is with Air France and their flights to Tahiti?
I had a flight booked from LAX direct to Papeete in late September with a return in October. They cancelled my outbound flight, so we called and were able to get new flights October 6th and returning the 16th.
Now a few days later they cancelled both my departing and returning flight - and rebooked me on a multi leg flight outbound - LAX -> Paris (7 hr layover) -> Papeete which would be ridiculous. Both flights were also pushed forward two days.
And then just now got another email saying both of the new flights are cancelled. Followed up with a phone call and the rep couldn’t tell me why the 3 flights they’ve put me on were cancelled and whether they will be able to hold any future flights.
I know nows not a great time to travel, but is this the new normal for flights to be continuously cancelled and moved? All my hotels are refundable thankfully, but this is making planning impossible even if I were to switch up the dates and find new flights. Can we request that they put us up on another airline on the same dates after 3 cancellations or are my only options rescheduling or refund?
