Hey guys. Like the title says, I’m a Canadian and really hate the cold winters. I’m curious to travel Baja California. My plan (currently) would be to fly from Toronto to Mexico City. Probably spend a few days here. Then fly from MEX to Tijuana. Here, I would rent a car. Is this easy? Cheap? Any tips regarding this?
Once I have the car, I’d like to spend 2/3weeks road tripping from Tijuana, all the way down the coast, eventually ending in Cabo San Lucas.
I’d then fly back to Toronto from Cabo.
Any tips based on this itinerary? How is the safety in this area of Mexico? How is the situation via covid?
Budget wise - id probably be fine airbnbing / also hosteling, mixing both when necessary.
