I'm looking at hotels and am finding that this one site, trip.com, is always showing prices that are a good 15-50% cheaper than what other sites are saying. As an example, where the official hotel website (and all the usual booking sites) say a stay across certain dates will cost $1050, trip.com says $548.
A discount this large seems like a red flag for trustworthiness. Does anyone have experience with them? If it's legit, what mechanisms apart from scamming would allow this site to get such a cheap rate?
