Due to medical reasons and the world situation, it’s a lot safer for me to drive than fly/train from LA to Chicago. I don’t plan to sightsee on the way, I just need to be in Chicago. I plan to make this trip in Sep or Oct. What is the quickest/best route to take? What should I know about the weather and what should I bring? I want to keep costs as low as possible but I know gas is gas so, I don’t really have a budget for that. Any good/safe places to stop overnight? It’s an essential trip unfortunately. I’m a bit nervous but also determined!
