So I learned a long time ago that the only way I can "save" money effectively is actually to put it to use in a productive way as soon as it comes in. If the money is just sitting in my account, it will just get wasted.
So with that in mind, I am looking for a way to buy some sort of gift card that will allow me to purchase a flight to the country of my choosing at some point in the future, when restrictions are lifted etc. I'm sure each airline has gift cards, but I assume that would be very limiting, since I would only be able to book flights with that specific airline. Most booking options I see when I search for international flights involve multiple airlines, and with so much price variance on any given day, I don't want to limit myself if possible.
Is there any good option for maybe a travel site that offers gift cards for anything booked through that site? Or some other creative solution I haven't thought of? I couldn't find anything for my favorite site, skyscanner.com, though obviously there are plenty other sites to check. But just wanted to check here before getting too much further, as maybe there are some solutions I haven't thought of. Any advice is appreciated!
