All depending on the state of the world but me and my boyfriend have built up some time to take off of work and are wanting to spend 3 weeks over seas. We are unsure if we want to split the time in half or 2 weeks in Turkey and 1 week in Egypt. In Turkey we are thinking about staying by Hagia Sophia because based on other reddit posts it seems like the best access to transportation and the tourist sites. We were also thinking about going to Cappadocia and were wondering how much time is recommended to see all there is to see there? I know that’s were the hot balloons are and that seems pretty worth it, maybe 2 or 3 days there?
Then for Egypt we are going to stay in Cairo and see the tourist sites there of course, the pyramids, the Sphinx, and so on. I recently found out about the cruises down the Nile and was wondering if those are actually worth it? It’s like a four night cruise and that seems like a pretty good chunk of time going down the Nile. The one I found is from Aswan to Luxor and seems really beautiful.
Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I’ve only ever traveled to Northern Europe and Eastern Asia so this is all very new to us.
