Turkey to Africa by motorcycle post!

Dear people, I'm trying to figure out a way to get from Turkey (no limits to enter) to Africa, at least to Ethiopia. I'm travelling on a motorcycle with my gf. There seems to be no ferry from Turkey to Egypt nor to anywhere but Greece (useless). My options are:

1. Find some other way to cross to Mediterranean Africa by vessel.
2. Drive through Syria or Iraq to Lebanon.

Any ideas for me?
