Question about London Heathrow airport: I have a connecting flight at Terminal 5. Am I just doomed to have a difficult time?

I apologize if this isn't the right subreddit, I'm really not sure where this would belong.

But I have a 3 hour layover and connecting flight through London Heathrow. I'm both landing and connecting from Terminal 5. The issue is, Terminal 5 consists of three buildings - one for the A gates, another for the B gates, and another for the C gates. And because the airport is so busy, gates aren't announced until roughly 45 minutes before departure, so I've heard.

So unless I'm misunderstanding, that gives me just 45 minutes to catch a transit to the right Terminal building and pass through security again? The flight is on a single ticket so I don't have to pass through passport control or claim any baggage, but the window still feels way too tight and it seems ridiculous to me that my layover is three hours long and I'm STILL going to be pressed for time without knowing the departing gate. Has anyone had any experience with this before?

Thanks.
