Travelling to the Middle East as a white person...?

I don’t really know how to put this as it’s a VERY touchy subject, but please hear me out.

In the west, we’re saturated with news of the Middle East, and the general consensus is that it’s dangerous for white people.

I know the Middle East is a massive area with loads of different countries in it, and basically I’m curious, is it really like that or is it just more misinformation, and if it is actually kinda dangerous then where would the best countries for me to visit be?

I’d really love to visit there, I just really love the culture, and I’m really sorry if this comes across as racist, I just don’t know how else to ask this and it’s been eating at me for a few years.

So basically, to summarise, is the Middle East dangerous for white people and where would you recommend I travel to in the Middle East?
