Holding visa to Two counties and then traveling to one county and then from there to the next country?

So I am a citizen of India and hold a valid visa to the UK. But before I could travel India banned all flights from the UK. Technically airlines can still service people traveling one way(India to the UK), but no airline is doing this right now. So I was wondering if I fly to Maldives (Visa on arrival no problems). and then take a flight from there to the UK. It won't be a layover, as I will have to enter the country and then exit its borders. I was wondering if this is allowed? and things I should enquire about before moving forward with this.
