Moving my dying grandfather from Detroit to Seattle to live out his last days around family. I know this is crazy timing, but I'm doing it (with the help of a couple family members). Trying to make as few stops as possible. I have winter driving experience, but have never drove through the mid west. Obviously will carry chains, emergency supplies. Looking at leaving anywhere from 2-5 weeks from now.
What road conditions should be expected?
Is taking the 80 to 90 going west feasible?
