Looking at a vacation in either Maui (Hawaii) or Barbados. Has anyone been to both?

I planning a trip for my husband and I for my college graduation next year. We were originally planning on Barbados but are now thinking Maui may be more convenient.

We live in the U.S and will have a 2 year old daughter staying with grandparents.
