Hii!
My friends and I aspire to take a trip to Italy when the pandemic is over or, at least, under control. I've already been to Rome once with my family, but I don't remember it very well since I was quite young when we first visited. This time, I'd love to really get a feel for the culture, as opposed to just sightseeing and indulging in mainstream (but admittedly delicious) foods. So, my questions to you are: How can I mingle with the locals? Are there any places (shops/restaurants) that don't attract many tourists, but are most representative of the italian culture? And lastly, are there any habits and behaviours that I ought to know about? (e.g. in Spain it's unheard of if you don't order both a coffee and dessert after your meal, which was surprising to me as a Greek, because here we usually don't have coffee after meals and the dessert is always on the house)
