Hey guys, I’m going to Hawaii this summer for 2 weeks but I’m a bit overwhelmed

I’m going from Logan International Airport to LAX to Honolulu. I am going with 2 friends though so how can we make it so have seats next to each other for both flights? I’m so confused also is $682 a fair price? I have no idea how any of this works every vacation before this one my parents took care of all the logistics
