Tips for travelling with a wheelchair user?

Hi all!

I am planning on taking my kids to Japan and Hawaii this summer. The flight from our home city to Tokyo is about 12 hours if I remember correctly and the flight form Tokyo to Kona is about 8 hours I think. I do not remember the exact flight times.

Anyway, that brings me to my question. My 9 year old daughter had a spinal cord injury at the beginning of the year, so this would be our first time travelling, both post-covid and with her wheelchair.

Does anybody have any tips to keep in mind when flying with a wheelchair, airports, and hotels? And any suggested airlines or hotels that are normally very good with accessibility?

Thanks!
