17 Year Old first time traveler to Italy.

Good evening everybody .. I’ve began working since I turned 16 , and saved enough travel money to travel for the first time before I finish high school. I’ve never traveled anywhere outside of the US and want/plan to travel to Italy SOLO in May 2022 once I finish my AP exams. I intend on going alone and want to spend my first 5 days in Rome .. and then possibly take a train to the Almafi Coast to spend the 3 days relaxing before returning home. Obviously this is such a vague and unstructured plan but traveling abroad is a untouched topic for me being the first kid in my family to travel anywhere outside US & Mexico. Anyways was hoping anyone could throw in their 2 cents on what’s they’ve experienced visiting Italy .. what you might recommend as well or what to avoid. If you have any advice on how you would construct the routine of point A to Point B. Also if I am 17 will I be able to drink in Italy or enter Clubs? I know Europe’s measures of these things are a lot more lenient. Honestly anything helps whether it be recommendations, advice, answers .. just EAGER and EXCITED to breathe Italy’s air next year before I graduate school!!

UPDATE: Realized I can’t book a hotel room until I’m 18 .. thank you for the clarification!
